Calm Prevails in Banks’ Branches in Tahrir

A state of cautious calm in front of banks in Tahrir as few numbers of protesters are gathering in the square for the second day over the verdict on the deposed president Hosni Mubarak and his sons, Gamal and Alaa.

The banks, Alexandria Bank, Ahli United Bank, BNP Paribas and HSBC, sufficed with the arming of the civil security. More than 3 men of civil security deployed in front of each bank branch.

The branches witnessed a state of calm amid the absence of ATM clients.

On the other hand, the square surrounded with few numbers of protesters due to the hot weather, and they closed streets near the square; Talaat Harb St. … ETC.

The protesters chanted anti-judiciary slogans and threatened to sit-in in front of the Supreme Court the coming hours.
