CBE Sells 273-and 91-Day T-Bills For 4 Bln

Average yields rose on treasury bills auctioned by Central Bank of Egypt on Sunday and the bank said it sold all the bills it had offered.

The average yield on 273-day bills rose to 15.828 percent from 15.772 percent at the last issue on May 8 and the bank sold EGP 3 billion the same amount it had sought.

The average yield on 91-day bills inched up to 14.314 percent from 14.161 percent at the last week’s auction. The bank sold EGP 1 billion of those bills, the same amount it had offered.

CBE sells the bills on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
