Centamin: Extracted Gold Hit 17 Tons By End of August

According to official sources from Centamin Egypt – which has the franchise of extracting gold from Sukari Gold Mine,  the  total amounts of the extracted gold from the mine from January 2010 till the end of August 2012 have hit 17 tons of gold ores worth EGP 5.4 billion.

The sources, which declined to mention their names,  said the gold ores are sent to the labs in Canada so as to get refined, turned into 9999 stamped bullions so as to be sold through London Bullion Market.  The U.S. dollar returns from selling the gold shall be transferred to Centamin Egypt’s account in the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
