Centamin records 13% fall in gold production in Egypt’s Sukari

Centamin Plc (CELTF.PK, CEY.L, CEE.TO) reported Monday a 13 percent decline in first quarter preliminary gold production in Sukari Gold Mine in Egypt 109,187 ounces from last year. Quarterly throughput decreased one percent at the process plant to 2,908kt.

Further, the company said it maintains its 2017 guidance of 540,000 ounces at a cash operating cost of $580 per ounce and all-in-sustaining cost of $790 per ounce.

Open pit ore production increased by 14 percent to 2,478kt at an average mined grade of 0.47g/t. The run of mine ore stockpile balance decreased by 191kt to 386kt at the end of the period.
