Chambers Federation Discusses Current Incidents’ Repercussions’ on Economy

The board of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce will hold an urgent meeting today to discuss the repercussions of the current states on the trade, industry and tourism as well as investment and employment, and on the Egyptian economy as all.

Mr. Ahmed Al Wakeel, Head of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, said they will study the urgent mechanisms that should be taken to eliminate the negative influence of the current circumstances.

He added that the articles that concern the economy in the constitution draft don’t suit the ambitions created by the Jan 25 Revolution and don’t achieve the demanded renaissance. So it doesn’t become a necessary condition to encourage and attract the investments, in addition to improve the business environment, and increasing the trust in the Egyptian economy.

On the other hand, he affirmed that the latest incidents don’t achieve the demanded stability for the business environment, production, creating job opportunities and the stability of prices. Therefore, an urgent call for consensus is a must for Egypt interest.
