Chambers of Commerce Object On “Closing Stores Early” Decision

Ahmed El-Wakil, Head of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, in a statement, asserted that the government’s decision of closing stores at 10 PM, which was approved by the governors, violates the laws. It also violates the text of Article (189/1951) of the chamber of commerce, and which was amended by law (6/2002).

According to Articles 14, 15, 16 of Chamber of Commerce Act, and Article 76 of its executive regulation, he added that the chambers should be consulted within 3 months of its demand date. He elaborated that he may also resort to the Prime Minister, then the president, besides keeping the complete right to resort to the Egyptian court.
