China’s BYD starts building manufacturing complex in Brazil

Chinese electric vehicle company BYD has started building a manufacturing complex in Brazil, with plans to begin operations by the end of 2024 or early 2025, Reuters reported on Wednesday.

The complex will have an initial annual production capacity of 150,000 units and will produce models such as the Dolphin hatchback, Dolphin Mini, Song Plus SUV, and Yuan Plus crossover, BYD added.
