CIB’s Deposits Rose EGP 7.2 Bln In 2012

The Commercial International Bank’s (CIB) deposits portfolio reached EGP 78.834 billion at the end of 2012, compared to EGP 71.574 billion at the end of 2011.

The standalone financial statements showed that the bank’s portfolio of loans and credit facilities surged 2.5% (EGP 1.02 billion) to reach EGP 40.698 billion at the end of 2012, compared to EGP 39.669 billion at the end of 2011.

The bank’s assets rose EGP 2.098 billion to reach EGP 5.393 billion at the end of 2012, compared to EGP 7.942 billion at the end of 2011.

The bank’s investments in treasury bills and government debt instruments dropped EGP 1.2 billion to reach EGP 7.978 billion at the end of 2012, compared to 9.213 billion at the end of 2011.

The bank’s funds and balances held by the Central Bank of Egypt reached EGP 5.393 billion at the end of 2012, compared to EGP 7.492 billion at the end of 2011. The banks’ balances held by other banks registered EGP 7.957 billion at the end of 2012, compared to EGP 8.449 billion at the end of 2011.
