Coca-Cola plans investing $500mn in Egyptian market

Soft drink producer Coca-Cola Egypt plans injecting new investments of US$500 million into Egyptian market within the upcoming period.

In a press conference held Wednesday, Public Affairs and Communications Manager in Coca-Cola Middle East and North Africa, Ghada Makady stated that the Egyptian market is a prominent one in which the mother company eyes developing its business through upgrading production lines.

Coca-Cola pumped massive investments within the last period to establish packing factories and a distribution network in the Egyptian market, the official said.

Makady noted that the company started working in the Egyptian market since 1942 as it provides job opportunities for around 12,000 employees.

On other side, Manager Makady asserted that Coca-Cola has no intention to raise prices of its products within the coming period, adding that it exerts efforts to develop Egyptian society and create more job opportunities.
