Coca Cola Targets $1B Investments In Egypt By 2020

Coca Cola Company is aiming at doubling its investments volume in both of Egypt and Middle East by 2020. It targets $ 1 billion investments in Egypt to meet the rising demand on its products.

Mr Hamish Banks, Director, Public Affairs & Communications for Coca-Cola’s Middle East and North Africa, has stated to ” Amwal Al Ghad” that his optimism over the available opportunities in Egypt and indicators confirm that the growth rates in Egypt are great. He pointed to the significance of Egypt as a big investment market, and the current temporary changes only related to the transitional period.

Banks has emphasized that Coca Cola is committed towards Egypt to create job opportunities, which consider as its critical priorities at the current time; mentioning that Coca Cola Egypt hires more than 12 thousand employees.

He added that the company strives to expand its investments in Egypt; especially there are numerous chances of growth, expansion and adding new production lines, referring that the company established 9 lines for packaging last year.

Banks underscored the necessity of the International Monetary Fund’s loan and the government’s policies for the economic reform. The company is trying to play a positive role in the reform process through granting its experience in the local and international markets.
