Corplease topped leasing activity in Egypt with EGP30bn deals

Corplease Co. topped the list of leasing companies in terms of growth during first quarter of 2019, as it managed to provide 30 billion Egyptian pounds funds to 50 contracts and win a 22.5 percent market share.

Egypt’s Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) revealed in a recent report the biggest leasing companies in the country in terms of market share during first quarter of the year.

Technolease came second with 1.582 billion pounds deals and 11.53 percent market share.

Arab African International Leasing company came third with 1.437 million pounds deals and 10.47 percent market share, Incolease came fourth with 868 million pounds  deals and 6.33 percent market share, then Altawfeek Leasing Company with  716 million pounds deals and 5.2 percent market share.

Then came BM Lease with a share of 3.8% for 34 contracts worth  529.2 million pounds

While GB Lease came in seventh with a market share of 3.47 percent  475.8 million pounds funds for 22 contracts and Cairo Leasing Corporation with a 3.36 percent  market share and 461.4 million pounds deals.
In addition, Egy Lease has captured market share of 3.33 percent  with 546.5 million pounds deals. Lastly, Ahli Leasing Company came with a  market share of 2.99% and 410.5 million pounds deals.

The value  leasing contracts during the Q1 2019 reached 13.7 billion  pounds compared to 7.5 billion pounds during the same period a year earlier with an increase of 82%. The number of contracts increased from 408 contracts to 755 contracts.
