Arabian Food Industries Co. (Domty), one of Egypt’s top diaries, is targeting sales up to 2.5 billion Egyptian pounds (US$349.6 million) by end of 2018.
In the same vein, Omar El-Domaty – Domty’s Chairman – said his company seeks to remain the biggest white cheese producer in the world using Tetra Pak.
The group aims to meet with the increasing demands for the Egyptian market, he added. That is why Domty plans to launch a number of high-quality products at low prices as well as to make new expansions and pump new investments in the coming period.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad on Monday, El-Domaty pointed out that Domty captures around 32% share of Egypt’s cheese market. He further referred that Domty plans to increase its exports to 20% within the current year through reaching new markets in Europe and USA.
Moreover, the official said Domty is also planning by end of 2014 to boost its capacity to produce 80.000 tonnes of cheese per year, 7000 tonnes monthly. In this respect, the group has recently pumped 10 million Egyptian pounds for its capacity top-up scheme.
Tetra Pak is a multinational food packaging and processing company of Swedish origin with head offices in Lund, Sweden, and Lausanne, Switzerland.
