Dubai’s Majid Al Futtaim sees Mall of Egypt cost recovery in 9 years

Dubai-based mall operator Majid Al Futtaim’s chief executive Alain Bejjani says he expects cost recovery for its latest flagship Mall of Egypt between 8 and 9 years.

Mall of Egypt represents a total investment cost of $722 million.

Located in 6th of October City, the two-level mall features over 350 outlets and 50 food and beverage outlets, including Ski Egypt, Africa’s first ski slope, and the country’s first VOX Cinemas Cineplex.

The project was partially self-financed in addition to some local banks’ contribution, Bejjani added in the sidelines of Mall of Egypt’s opening ceremony on March 2nd.

The mall spans a gross leasable area (GLA) of 165,000 square metres and provide customers with 6,500 parking spaces.
