EALB’s Investments In Govt. Debt Instruments Hit EGP 3.8 Bln

The Egyptian Arab Land Bank’s (EALB) investments in government debt instruments reached EGP 3.8 billion, said Mohamed El-Baik, head of funds and financial institutions department at the bank.

The bank’s investments in treasury bills reached EGP 1.2 billion and those in government bonds reached EGP 2.6 billion. In addition, the bank’s investments in dollar T-bills reached US$ 40 million.

The volume of the bank’s investments in these government debt instruments is hinged on investment rates and interest rates on these instruments, he noted.
