EFSA Receives Complaints Against 10 Healthcare Firms

The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) received complaints against 10 healthcare companies from customers and rival companies in the healthcare market in Egypt, an official said.

EFSA will study such complaints to take the needed procedures against the violators, he added, noting that Health Care International will exit the Egyptian market in the upcoming period as it has recently achieved losses. Offering healthcare services at very low prices was the main reason behind such losses.

The medical insurance and healthcare sectors are witnessing unstable prices as some companies sharply reduced the prices in order to attract more customers during the economic unrest.

The Health Care International, (HCI) is a Cairo-based organization, founded in 1992 as a component of “Cairo Group for Investment and Development (CID)”. Afterwards, the company was restructured as an independent holding company in 1996.
