EFSA Renewed Licenses For 6 Insurance Brokers In September

The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) renewed the licenses for six insurance brokers in September and five insurance brokers in August. The number of registered insurance brokerage companies registered 36 companies with no change.

The number of insurance brokers reached 6334 brokers in September, compared to 6299 brokers in August. In pursuant to act no.10 of 1981 and its executive regulations for insurance control and supervision in Egypt, the licenses of 72 insurance brokers were written-off in September.

The number of inspection and risk management experts fell to reach 516 experts in September. There are 11 insurance consulting companies, 302 insurance consulting experts and 20 actuarial experts.

EFSA issued 22 decrees concerning amending the main systems of 12 insurance funds in September, compared to 7 decrees concerning amending the main systems of 5 insurance funds in August. No insurance fund was registered or written-off in September.
