EGP5 bln Allocated For Agriculture in 2012-2013 Budget

As to EGP 5 billion investments in the agriculture field have been allocated in the budget of the fiscal year 2012-2013.

The state has allocated EGP 1.7 billion for the agriculture and land reclamation, by which reclamation will be implemented for 140 thousand acres in North Sinai, Bahariya Oasis and West Oases; in addition to promoting the quality of irrigation and ponds in 45 thousand acres in Behayra, Kafr El Sheikh, Qena, Assuit and Suhag.

The field irrigation has acquired EGP 3.3 billion to develop the irrigation in 150 thousand acres, revamping the covered sanitation networks in 100 thousand acres, moreover, expanding the uncovered sanitation in 45 thousand acres and digging 140 springs in Delta, 130 springs in Al Wahat, and 25 springs in Sinai.
