The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) signed a cooperation agreement with global technology giant Cisco Systems, Inc. on Tuesday to develop a unified data centre, advancing the digital transformation of Egypt’s petroleum sector.

The agreement aims to enhance operational efficiency by utilising cloud computing technologies to cut costs, streamline decision-making with improved data accessibility, and bolster cybersecurity.

Additionally, the unified data centre will provide a secure and advanced digital infrastructure, enabling petroleum companies to expand their use of digital applications and optimise operations.
