EGX 30 Ends Week Above 5610 Pts

During Thursday closing session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted gains of EGP 887 million as the capital market has amounted to EGP 386.737 million.

The EGX indices closed mixed.

The main index, EGX30 edged up by 0.48% to close at 5611.47 p.  EGX20 inched higher by 0.37% to end at 6458.35 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dipped by 0.27% to conclude 513.97 pts.  Price index EGX100 dropped by 0.05% to finish at 851.51 p.

Traded volume reached 85.152 million securities worth EGP 347.081 million, exchanged 19.325 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 174 listed securities; 74 declined 67 advanced while 33 keeping their previous levels.

EGX’s closing gains were backed by non-Arab Foreigners’ buying deals.

Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers 80% and 2.54% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 33.259 million and EGP 1.663 million excluding the deals.

On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 17.46% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 34.922 million excluding the deals.
