EGX 30 Tumbles 0.24%, OTMT 9.80% Up, Early Sunday

During Sunday early session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has incurred early losses worth EGP 832 million as the capital market has amounted to EGP 340.962 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 09:04 GMT (11:04 a.m. in Cairo).

The main index, EGX30 tumbled 0.24% to hit 4803.37 p.  EGX20 inched lower 0.08% to reach 5508.09 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 sagged 0.99% to hit 423.49 p.  Price index EGX100 edged down 0.80% to reach 728.72 p.

Traded volume reached 2.244 million securities worth 5.719 million, exchanged through 540 transactions.

This was after trading in 63 listed securities; 52 declined and 7 advanced while 4 keeping their previous levels.

The non-Arab Foreigners and Arabs  were net sellers seizing 3.29% and 5.92% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 104.828 and EGP 51.324 excluding the deals.

On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers seizing  90.78% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 156.153 excluding the deals.

Leading Shares:

EGX’s leading shares witnessed collective downwards except for the shares owned by Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) which jumped 9.80% to hit EGP 1.68 and the Shares of Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) which witnessed no change to hit EGP 252.55.

Commercial International Bank:

The shares owned by Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) (COMI.CA) led EGX downwards by going down 2.22% to reach EGP 28.20.

EFG-Hermes Holding:

The shares of EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) plummeted 1.91% to hit EGP 10.78.

Talaat Moustafa Group:

The shares of Talaat Moustafa Group (TMGH.CA) declined by 1.77% to reach EGP  3.88

Orascom Telecom Holding:

The shares owned by Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) went down 1.56% to reach EGP 3.16.
