EGX briefing on Feb 19

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday.

  • The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.94 per cent, to 30,875.28 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, rose by 0.41 per cent, to 3,203.74 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70 dipped by 0.05 per cent, to 8,587.05 points.
  • The index, EGX100 index added 0.19 per cent, to 11,824.94 points.

Egypt’s market capitalisation reached 2,260,118,375,940 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 2,987,360,740 Egyptian pounds. Meanwhile, Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 108,127,710 Egyptian pounds and 2,879,233,030 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
