EGX closed on green note on March 12

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed on a green note on Wednesday.
The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.37 per cent, to 31,049.03 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33, soared by 1.17 per cent, to 3,342.55 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 jumped by 0.82 per cent, to 8,737.67 points.

The index, EGX100 index rose by 0.91 per cent, to 12,115.24 points.

The total market cap reached 2,288,782,866,217 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 371,481,810 Egyptian pounds and 7,117,050,257 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 7,488,532,067 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Wednesday

  1. Egyptian for Tourism Resorts shares rose by 19.92 per cent, to close at the price of 6.140 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. General Silos & Storage shares climbed by 14.28 per cent, to trade at the price of 173.730 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Memphis Pharmaceuticals shares jumped by 13.26 per cent, to the purchasing price of 80.950 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Wednesday

  1. Rights Issue Of Beltone Holding -4 shares fell by 18.67 per cent, to close at 0.061 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Arabian Cement Company shares dropped by 4.72 per cent, to close at the price of 22.600 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Cairo Poultry shares declined by 4.40 per cent, to close at 16.960 Egyptian pounds a share.
