Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.72 per cent, to 31,621.29 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 rose 0.40 to 3,279.07 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.20 per cent, to 8,380.12 points.
The index, EGX100 index increased by 0.34 per cent, to 11,668.11 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,276,164,082,766 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians were buyers with 2,929,166,620 Egyptian pounds. Meanwhile, Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 26,528,927 Egyptian pounds, and 2,902,637,693 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- Shares of Northern Upper Egypt Development & Agricultural Production (NEDA.CA) jumped by 12.78 per cent, to close at the price of 2.560 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Lotus for Agricultural Investments and Development (LUTS.CA) climbed by 10.38 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.670 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Reacap Financial Investments (REAC.CA) surged by 8.80 per cent, to the purchasing price of 8.160 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of El-Nile Co.For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries–Nile1 (NIPH_r1.CA) sank by 9.19 per cent, to close at 34.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Raya Customer Experience (RACC.CA) dived by 4.97 per cent, to close at 7.460 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical (SIPC.CA) plunged by 4.94 per cent, to close at the price of 1.540 Egyptian pounds a share.
