Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.08 per cent to 53,126.01 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 0.80 per cent to 5,957.71 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.75 per cent to 6,315.54 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, soared by 1.72 per cent, to 17,560.69 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 1.37 per cent, to 23,397.83 points.
The total market cap reached 3,913,235,493,736 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 1,786,499,933 Egyptian pounds and 573,344,249 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 2,359,844,182 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 109.260 pounds a share.
- The shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment climbed by 19.99 per cent, closing at the price of 95.970 pounds a share.
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries jumped by 16.33 per cent, to the purchasing price of 234.990 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Cairo Educational Services fell by 9.70 per cent, to close at 118.330 pounds a share.
- The shares of Pioneers Properties For Urban Development – PRE Group declined by 7.39 per cent, to close at 9.400 pounds a share.
- The shares of Middle & West Delta Flour Mills dropped by 7.15 per cent, to close at the price of 586.580 pounds a share.
