Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed all green on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.33 per cent, to 50,487.96 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 2.06 per cent to 5,694.25 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 1.53 per cent to 5,916.87 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, leaped by 2.09 per cent to 15,503.28 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 1.97 per cent to 21,141.62 points.
The total market cap reached 3,679,262,797,908 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 28,301,384,950 Egyptian pounds and 15,584,560,627 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 43,885,945,577 pounds.
Top gainers on Tuesday
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 166.050 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool rose by 20.00 per cent, reaching 88.200 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center went up by 19.45 per cent to close at 66.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Tuesday
- The shares of Misr Oils & Soap went down by 4.55 per cent to close at 271.830 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Financial & Industrial dropped by 4.13 per cent to close at 181.310 per cent a share.
- The shares of Rakta Paper Manufacturing sank by 3.39 per cent, to close at 21.670 Egyptian pounds a share.
