Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.18 per cent, to 51,130.89 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, climbed by 1.09 per cent to 5,769.57 points.
- The index EGX35-LV jumped by 1.75 per cent to 6,043.06 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, advanced by 1.74 per cent to 15,954.04 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 1.52 per cent to 21,655.69 points.
The total market cap reached 3,750,199,045,993 Egyptian pounds.
Egypt and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 737,466,334 Egyptian pounds and 90,518,004 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 827,984,338 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of El Shams Housing & Urbanization surged by 18.41 per cent, closing at 13.830 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of El Arabia Engineering Industries rose by 9.64 per cent, reaching 2.730 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of El Obour Real Estate Investment went up by 8.60 per cent to close at 38.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries went down by 3.86 per cent to close at 173.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of East Delta Flour Mills dropped by 3.07 per cent to close at 320.430 per cent a share.
- The shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokeragesank by 2.38 per cent, to close at 2.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
