EGX closes in red area on 21 Sept

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Monday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.68 per cent to 54,994.31 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.99 per cent to 6,605.65 points.
  • The index EGX35-LV plunged by 1.86 per cent to 6,771.4 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, fell by 2.77 per cent to 20,480.58 points. 
  • The EGX100 index sank by 2.29 per cent, to 26,999.44 points.

The total market cap reached 4,337,765,354,868 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 67,499,197 Egyptian pounds and 2,153,933,802 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net buyers with 2,221,432,999 pounds.

Top gainers 

1.     The shares of KORRA rose by 12.93 per cent, to close at the price of 6.550 Egyptian pounds a share.

2.     The shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals climbed by 7.74 per cent, closing at the price of 941.030 Egyptian pounds a share.

3.     The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center jumped by 6.47 per cent, to the purchasing price of 53.020 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

1.     The shares of Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates fell by 11.02 per cent, to close at 23.980 Egyptian pounds a share.

2.     The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing declined by 7.87 per cent, to close at 14.990 Egyptian pounds a share.

3.     The shares of Aspire Capital Holding For Financial Investments dropped by 7.33 per cent, to close at the price of 0.430 Egyptian pounds a share.
