Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, dropped 0.77 per cent to 51,894.83 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, fell by 0.56 per cent to 6,251.8 points.
- The EGX35-LV index rose by 0.93 per cent to 6,322.84 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70, jumped by 1.11 per cent to 18,625.73 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 0.64 per cent to 24,776.36 points.
The total market cap reached 4,056,392,231,810 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers, with 3,511,624,501 pounds and 9,716,600,464 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers, totaling 13,228,224,965 pounds.

- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline went up by 20.00 per cent to 321.630 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of El Nasr Clothes & Textiles (Kabo) climbed by 14.18 per cent to 9.500 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of O B Financial Holding rose by 11.49 per cent to 0.970 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Arabian Metal Industries And Industrial Investments dropped by 8.26 per cent to 10.890 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian for Tourism Resorts sank by 7.83 per cent to 16.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Gharbia Islamic Housing Development went down by 6.94 per cent to 62.250 Egyptian pounds a share.
