Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went down by 0.35 per cent to 54,094.33 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 0.13 per cent to 6,163.83 points.
- The index EGX35-LV added 1 per cent to 6,568.88 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 surged 1.36 per cent to 19,293.24 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 1.28 per cent to 25,275.46 points.
The total market cap reached 4,022,381,371,655 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 638,806,836 pounds and 16,093,768,883 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with 16,732,575,719 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 345.250 pounds a share.
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries climbed by 20.00 per cent, closing at the price of 279.600 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian International Pharmaceuticals (EIPICO) jumped by 20.00 per cent, to the purchasing price of 149.760 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills fell by 20.00 per cent, to close at 174.840 pounds a share.
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments declined by 14.20 per cent, to close at 14.200 pounds a share.
- The shares of North Cairo Mills dropped by 10.02 per cent, to close at the price of 186.940 pounds a share.
