Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed on a mixed note on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.23 per cent, to 29,735.59 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, fell by 0.13 per cent, to 3,142.78 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.08 per cent, to 8,541.02 points.
The index, EGX100 index soared by 0.02 per cent, to 11,652.88 points.
The total market cap reached 2,206,672,904,558 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 16,504,883,198 Egyptian pounds and 38,763,356 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with a total of 16,543,646,554 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Wednesday
- Osool ESB Securities Brokerage shares rose by 12.34 per cent, to close at the price of 1.211 Egyptian pounds a share.
- El Kahera Housing shares climbed by 10.99 per cent, to trade at the price of 2.120 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Arab Moltaka Investments Co shares jumped by 7.50 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.580 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
- Arabian Cement Company shares fell by 4.22 per cent, to close at 18.630 Egyptian pounds a share.
- El Nasr For Manufacturing Agricultural Crops shares dropped by 4.21 per cent, to close at the price of 26.150 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Extracted Oils shares declined by 3.66 per cent, to close at 3.690 Egyptian pounds a share.
