Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.03 per cent, to 49,825.58 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 0.15 per cent to 5,579.54 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.69 per cent to 5,827.58 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, leaped by 0.77 per cent to 15,185.64 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 0.57 per cent to 20,733.32 points.
The total market cap reached 3,618,187,121,174 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 1,198,336,771 Egyptian pounds and 11,310,261,178 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 12,508,597,950 pounds.
Top gainers on Sunday
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 138.380 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool rose by 20.00 per cent, reaching 73.500 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center went up by 19.99 per cent to close at 55.280 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Sunday
- The shares of ARAB POLVARA SPINNING & WEAVING CO. went down by 4.87 per cent to close at 8.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing dropped by 4.10 per cent to close at 11.220 per cent a share.
- The shares of Certificates Of Odin Egyptian Equity Investment Fund-KASAB sank by 3.68 per cent, to close at 3.660 Egyptian pounds a share.
