Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly in the red area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.12 per cent to 54,930.89 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 0.67 per cent to 6,650.23 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell by 0.27 per cent to 6,753.06 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, dropped by 0.10 per cent to 20,460.44 points.
- The EGX100 index sank by 0.02 per cent, to 26,994.7 points.
The total market cap reached 4,342,638,883,715 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with a total of 20,044,517,306 Egyptian pounds and 19,609,031,465 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 39,653,548,771 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of National Printing went up by 17.10 per cent to 48.010 pounds a share.
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries rose by 11.38 per cent to close at 342.000 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian for Tourism Resorts jumped by 10.71 per cent, closing at 18.710 pounds.
Top losers
- The shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals dropped by 6.49 per cent to 879.950 pounds at closing.
- The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing fell by 5.80 per cent to close at 14.120 pounds a share.
- The shares of Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co. sank by 4.81 per cent, closing at 2.570 pounds a share.
