EGX closes northward on April 4th

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed all green on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30 surging by 2.04 per cent to 28,506.16 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 inched up by 1.79 per cent, to 6,480.79 points.

The index, EGX100 index was boosted by 1.86 per cent, to 9,229.47 points.

The total market cap reached 1,906,265,463,842 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 373,770,363 Egyptian pounds, and 58,793,288 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Non-Arabs Foreigners were net sellers with a total of 432,563,652 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Thursday

The shares of Misr National Steel – Ataqa (ATQA.CA) jumped by 11.83 per cent, to close at 3.780 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Iron And Steel for Mines and Quarries (ISMQ.CA) hiked by 11.44 per cent, to the purchasing price of 3.800 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Cairo Oils & Soap (COSG.CA) climbed by 9.31 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.223 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Thursday

The shares of Rakta Paper Manufacturing (RAKT.CA) plunged by 4.57 per cent, to close at 11.900 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of ARAB POLVARA SPINNING & WEAVING CO. (APSW.CA) went down by 4.02 per cent, to close at 5.020 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of National Housing for Professional Syndicates dropped by 2.65 per cent, to close at the price of 43.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
