Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Sunday. The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.31 per cent, to 29917.96 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.02 per cent to 3175.52 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 increased by 0.34 per cent, to 8580.59 points.
The index, EGX100 index edged up by 0.24 per cent, to 11726.6 points.
The total market cap reached 2,226,185,489,601 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 15,397,800 Egyptian pounds, and 13,257,843 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Non-Arab Foreigners were sellers with 28,655,643 Egyptian pounds.
Risers on Thursday
- Cairo Educational Services (CAED.CA) shares rose by 11.63 per cent, to close at the price of 33.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Arab Valves Company (ARVA.CA) shares climbed by 11.40 per cent, to trade at the price of 4.690 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Egyptian Chemical Industries (EGCH.CA) shares jumped by 08.84 per cent, to the purchasing price of 08.740 Egyptian pounds a share.
Fallers on Thursday
- Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing (RUBX.CA) shares fell by 06.11 per cent, to close at 11.060 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Rakta Paper Manufacturing (RAKT.CA) shares declined by 04.67 per cent, to close at 23.470 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Orascom Financial Holding (OFH.CA) shares dropped by 04.620 per cent, to close at the price of 0.434 Egyptian pounds a share.
