EGX ends Sunday in positive territory; market cap rises to 4-month high

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) starts week trading session in green with its market cap rising to the highest level in four months.

The main EGX30 index climbed by 1.81 percent to end at 10,959 points.

Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 3.73 percent to 1,505 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI rose by 3.46 percent to 2,323 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 index increased by 3.57 percent to close at 1,793 points.

The market cap gained10.2 billion Egyptian pounds to close at 600.2 billion pounds, hitting its highest level since 8 March.

The market’s turnover amounted to 1.07 billion pounds after 449.2 million shares were exchanged through around 42,220 transactions.
