Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday, with main index, EGX30 surging by 0.93 per cent, to 30,011.84 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.74 per cent to 3,166.02 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 gained 0.81 per cent, to 8,609.99 points.
The index, EGX100 index rose by 0.68 per cent, to 11,731.98 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,221,573,303,067 Egyptian pounds.
Non-Arab foreigners were buyers with 1,092,729,784 Egyptian pounds. On the other hand, Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 656,684,734 Egyptian pounds and 436,045,050 Egyptian pounds, respectively.

- Shares of Cairo Oils & Soap (COSG.CA) jumped by 18.18 per cent, to close at the price of 0.390 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Gadwa for Industrial Development (GDWA.CA) climbed by 6.89 per cent, to trade at the price of 4.810 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of South Valley Cement (SVCE.CA) soared by 6.88 per cent, to the purchasing price of 4.970 Egyptian pounds a share.
