EGX Ends Week With EGP 500 Mln Gains Backed By Socgen-QNB Agreement

During the closing session of Thursday, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has ended this week with gains of EGP 500 million the capital market has amounted to EGP 360.284 billion.

The indices closed in green.

The main index, EGX30 inched up by 0.09% to end at 5162.94 p. EGX20 rose by 0.46% to close at 5953.78 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 climbed by 1.24% to conclude at 463.34 pts.  Price index EGX100 edged up by 0.76% to finish at 773.46 p.

Traded volume reached 127.973 million securities worth EGP 469.703 million, exchanged 25.530 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 167 listed securities; 22 declined, 120 advanced; while 25 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians and Arabs’ closing buying deals have backed EGX’s gains as they were net buyers seizing 69.22% and 9.81% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 40.372 million and EGP 16.894 million excluding the deals.

Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 20.97% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 57.266 million excluding the deals.
