EGX’s Gains Doubled On Foreign Purchases

On Tuesday’s closing session, the EGX extended its gains to EGP 2.18 billion as the capital market has reached EGP 357.074 billion.

The main index, EGX30 climbed 0.56% to close at 5056.09 p. EGX20 inched up 0.30 % to close at 5884.08 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 rebounded 0.31% to close at 434.36 p. Price index EGX100 rose 0.39% to close at 791.16 p.

Traded volume reached million 82.612 million securities worth EGP 387.941 million, exchanged through 19.995 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 169 listed securities; 62 declined and 86 advanced while 21 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers seizing 68.5% and 8.86% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 14.873 million and EGP 6.317 million, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 22.63% with a net equity of EGP 21.191 million, excluding the deals.
