EGX heads north on March 5

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green on Tuesday. The main index, EGX30 climbed by 0.41 per cent, to 30,668.89 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 surged by 0.14 per cent, to 7,455.56 points.

The index, EGX100 index jumped by 0.09 per cent, to 10,535.27 points.

The total market cap reached 2,079,849,049,738 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs’ and Non-Arabs Foreigners transactions were mainly buying with a total of 6,380,090,678 Egyptian pounds, and 4,780,649,446 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with 11,160,740,124 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Tuesday

The shares of Elsewedy Electric Co (SWDY.CA) rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 44.400 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Six of Taaleem Management Services (TALM.CA) climbed by 12.21 per cent, to trade at the price of 7.720 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Medical Packaging Co (MEPA.CA) jumped by 11.31 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.460 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Tuesday

The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills (AFMC.CA) fell by 15.18 per cent, to close at 31.400 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Gharbia Islamic Housing Development (GIHD.CA) declined by 6.00 per cent, to close at 26.780 Egyptian pounds a share.

The shares of Six of October Development & Investment (SODIC) (OCDI.CA) dropped by 5.63 per cent, to close at the price of 59.500 Egyptian pounds a share.
