EGX heads north on Oct 1st

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed up on Tuesday. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.88 per cent, to 31,866.06 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 0.75 per cent to 3,150.33 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 jumped by 1.02 per cent, to 7,615.48 points.

The index, EGX100 index climbed by 0.95 per cent, to 10,833.57 points.

The total market cap reached 2,201,885,944,565 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs and Non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 3,326,350,546 Egyptian pounds, and 42,107,427,147 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Egyptians were sellers with a total of 45,433,777,693 Egyptian pounds.

 

Top gainers on Tuesday

  1. Sabaa International Company For Pharmaceutical and Chemical (SIPC.CA) shares climbed by 19.94 per cent, to close at 1.564 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. A Capital Holding (ACAP.CA) shares jumped by 19.90 per cent, to close at 2.470 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Digitize for Investment And Technology (DGTZ.CA) shares surged by 19.84 per cent, to close at the price of 1.510 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Tuesday

  1. Alexandria New Medical Center (AMES.CA) shares declined by 18.05 per cent, to close at the price of 22.520 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Cairo Educational Services (CAED.CA) shares fell by 14.23 per cent, to trade at the price of 31.760 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Natural Gas & Mining Project (Egypt Gas) (EGAS.CA) shares dropped by 4.69 per cent, to the purchasing price of 46.700 Egyptian pounds a share.
