EGX Indexes go on Dark Red: Clossing Session

The repercussions of withdrawing Ganzouri’s government confidence continue to affect Tuesday’s closing session as the EGX incurred losses approximately reached L.E 10 billion. The capital market amounted to L.E 369.561 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 sharply recorded a slip of 3.27% to close at 5052.18 p. EGX20 dropped by 3.95% to close at 5888.39 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dipped 3.80% to close at 478.09 p. Price index EGX100 edged down 3.12% to close at 817.86 p.

The total value traded recorded L.E 581.967 million; while the total volume traded reached 165.901 million securities executed over 35.903 thousand transactions this week.

This was after trading in 187 listed securities; 168 down and 13 up while 6 keeping their previous levels.
