EGX Pares Its Losses To EGP 757 Mln; Closing

On Thursday’s closing session, the EGX pared its midday losses to EGP 757 million as the capital market has reached EGP 355.262 billion.

The main index, EGX30 fell 0.33% to close at 5014.91 p. EGX20 inched down 0.15% to close at 5863.05 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 sagged 0.27% to close at 432.73 p. Price index EGX100 dropped 0.35% to close at 785.27 p.

Traded volume reached 59.548 million securities worth EGP 276.119 million, exchanged through 16.581 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 177 listed securities; 84 declined and 65 advanced while 28 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians were net buyers seizing 73.56% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 33.759 million, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 20.3% and 6.14% respectively,  with a net equity of EGP 30.684 million and EGP 3.074 million, excluding the deals.
