EGX Pares Its Morning Losses To EGP 232 Mln

On Wednesday’s midday session, the EGX had pared its early losses to EGP 232 million as the capital market has reached EGP 356.842 billion at 10:45 GMT (12:45 pm in Cairo).

The main index, EGX30 went down 0.21% to hit 5045.68 p. EGX20 slumped 0.11 % to reach 5877.66 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 inched up 0.14% to reach 434.97 p. Price index EGX100 fell 0.05% to hit 790.74 p.

Traded volume reached million 41.415 million securities worth EGP 125.109 million, exchanged through 7.634 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 140 listed securities; 60 declined and 56 advanced while 24 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 82.09% and 3.99% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 8.973 million and EGP 520.452 thousand, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 13.92% with a net equity of EGP 9.493 million, excluding the deals.
