EGX Rebounds Backed by Egyptian Purchases

On Thursday’s midday session, the EGX managed to post gains of  L.E 605 million as the capital market amounted to L.E 352.293 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 went up 0.11% to close at 4843.73 p. EGX20 rose 0.14% to close at 5573.23 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 soared 0.69% to close at 438.74 p. Price index EGX100 increased 0.40% to close at 773.33 p.

Traded volume reached 72.113 million securities, at a value of L.E 174.243 million, exchanged through 6.882 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 137 listed securities; 33 down and 76 up while 28 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 77.12% and 7.65% respectively of the total market; with a net equity of L.E 2.328 million and L.E 5.350 million.

Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 15.22% of the total market, with a net equity of L.E 7.679 million. Data have been compiled at 10.35 GMT.
