EGX Remains in Red; Midday

EGX went on incurring losses of L.E 751 million during Wednesday’s midday trading, as the capital market reached L.E 361.248 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 slumped 0.01% to reach 4984.78 p. EGX20 edged down 0.13% to reach 5792.54 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 fell 1.02% to reach 451.19 p. Price index EGX100 downed 0.55% to close at 787.80 p.

The market has recorded values of L.E 137.809 million; while the volume traded reached 44.249 million securities executed over 9.991 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 145 listed securities; 102 down and 22 up while 21 keeping their previous levels.

Foreigners were net sellers seizing 20.8% of the total market, with a net equity of L.E 8.803 million, after excluding deals.

Egyptians were net buyers seizing 72.56% of the total market, with net equity of L.E 5.071 million, after excluding deals.

Additionally, Arab investors were also net buyers seizing 6.63% of the total market, with a net equity of L.E 3.371 million, after excluding deals.
