EGX’s Indexes end in Red

On Thursday’s closing session, the EGX approximately lost L.E3.9 billion as the capital market reached L.E388.555 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 slipped down 1.01% to close at 5396.85p. EGX20 dropped 1.25% to close at 6378.05p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dipped 2.43% to close at 512.9p. Price index EGX100 edged down 1.85% to close at 868.57p.

The market has recorded turnovers of L.E611.835 million through a volume of trading amounted to 185.077 million shares for 32.842 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 186 listed securities; 154 down and 23 up while 9 keeping their previous levels.
