Egypt Adds EGP164 Mln To Its Exports Of Agricultural Crops

The exports of the Agriculture Export Council (AEC) in Egypt last June achieved EGP 1.558 million, compared to EGP 1.394 million during the same period in 2012, recording an increase of EGP 164 million.

 On the other hand, the exports of the Engineering Export Council attained EGP 1.279 billion last June as against EGP 1.630 billion at the same period in 2012. While, the exports of the Ready-Made Garments Export Council achieved EGP 817 million, up from EGP 780 million last year. The Textile Export Council achieved EGP 487 million compared to EGP 364 million last year.

According to a report issued by the Foreign Trade Sector, the Arab countries topped the list of the most attractive markets for the Egyptian exports; recording EGP 33.416 billion as against EGP 26.950 billion during the same time in 2012, rose by 24%. The European Union raked the second recording EGP 20.733 billion compared to EGP 17.845 billion during the same period, increased by 16%. The non-Arab African countries ranked third to achieve EGP 5.423 billion as against EGP 4.304 billion, rose by 26%.
