Egypt Bourse posts $166bn-gains, ends in Green Notes

Egypt’s stocks started the week higher with gains worth 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$165.9 million).

The market capitalization has recorded 475.348 billion pounds during the closing session of Sunday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.97 percent to 7691.33 points.

EGX20 rose by 0.16 percent to 7730.14 points.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 boosted by 0.50 percent to 417.61 points. The price index, EGX100 increased by 0.37 percent to 877.51 points.

Turnovers low

On Sunday, the bourse’s trading volume has hit 100.513 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 285.797 million, exchanged through 13.298 thousand transactions.

Also during the closing session, 155 listed securities have been traded in; 43 declined, 61 advanced; while 48 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Arab and Non-Arab investors were net buyers on Sunday getting 5.64% and 22.54% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 5.119 million and EGP 17.655 million, respectively, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, the Egyptian investors were net sellers seizing 71.82% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 22.775 million, excluding the deals.
