Egypt bourse unveils new insurance policy tender

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) on Tuesday has put into a new insurance policy tender among takaful insurance companies.

The policy will see the coverage of the EGX’s assets, facilities, and vehicles against risks of fire, according to sources with knowledge.

The one-year term insurance policy is with total sum insured worth around 700 million Egyptian pounds ($40.7 million), the sources further told Amwal Al Ghad on Tuesday.

“The policy includes coverage of risks related to fire, burglary, car accidents, losses, explosions, natural disasters, earthquakes, storms, floods, volcanoes, and flash floods,” they added.

It also includes covering EGX’s main head offices in Smart Village, a high-technology business district in Sixth of October City and in Alexandria, besides its museum in Downtown, the sources added.
