Egypt braces for three oil and gas exploration bids this month

Egypt is planning to launch a new oil exploration round bid next week, offering 11 blocks in the Western desert and the Gulf of Suez, the country’s Petroleum Minister Tarek al-Molla announced Tuesday.

He said during the 8th Mediterranean Offshore Conference & Exhibition kicked off in Alexandria Tuesday that Egypt also plans to launch two gas exploration round bids this year,

The Mediterranean Offshore is the largest offshore exhibition and conference based in Egypt targeting all the Mediterranean countries, running between April 19 and 20 in Alexandria for the 8th edition.
